Artist Statement:

Unveiled in 1998 at the Fleche d’Or Café, Jardinage Numerique develops a reciprocal course between music and images created simultaneously in real time. Emmanuel Maa Berriet (software explorer) and Thierry Fournier (musician and composer) are constantly mixing logic from their respective realms and using the mouse as a tool to cultivate the relationship between music and image based on the generation of shapes, the voice and space. It is a lavish, sensual, throbbing universe, the illegitimate hybrid of improvisation, gardening, a stringed instruments manufacturer and a laboratory.
