Abstract:
This public art project in Phoenix is a model STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education project that brings together beautification of vacant urban land in downtown Phoenix with an educational project engaging Phoenix Bioscience High School students who are growing a two-acre field of sunflowers to harvest to produce biofuel for a hybrid biofuel/solar vehicle they are designing.
