This is a first perusal through material assembled during a stay in South India in 1994-95. After images of a blackened sub-continent and its uncertain modernity, of the stunned silence of the sholas and the quiet rage of daily transactions. Shola-INversion is the documentary of an unconditional welcome… Sound was treated with a number of frequency-domain and time-domain processes.
