Good Morning, John series, created in this way, features portraits of artificial intelligence in the form of human faces. Just as God shaped humans from clay in his own image, the artificial intelligence created by humans also mirrors the human form. What would artificial intelligence be thinking while looking at its own portrait from behind? Through these works, Jun Ahn raises fundamental questions about how humans and artificial intelligence perceive each other, and how artificial intelligence defines itself. The title of the work, Good Morning, John, is borrowed from Nam June Paik’s Good Morning Mr. Orwell (1984). Here, ‘John’ refers to John McCarthy, who was the first to mention artificial intelligence.
