José Aburto is a poet defined by his continuous experimentation with different formats, supports, and writing methods that reinterpret the poetic work from his own perspective: interactive, technological, and personal. Whether as a professor, cultural promoter, or communications professional, his work has been dedicated to exploring the possibilities of the digital realm and their impact on different forms of expression.

He has participated in exhibitions in Italy (2022), Mexico (2020), Portugal (2017, 2023), Spain (2018), Poland (2016), Bolivia (2016), Canada (2016), USA (2016), Norway (2015), Germany (2008), and Peru (2002–2011, 2014, 2024). His work has been incorporated into the ELO collection (2016, 2021), NEXT archive, and the first Lit(e)Lat Anthology.

He was recognised with the Adobe National Poetry Award (1999), as well as the Fulbright AIG scholarship (2002). He’s enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Media Interactive Arts at NYU. His research on poetry can be found at: http://www.joseAZ.pe
