Psients is a scientist-turned-artist exploring the intersection of biology, sound, and music. His work centers on developing and performing alongside a new kind of ’living’ instrument to meditate on posthumanism, multi-agency intelligence, and our relationships with manipulated living systems. Their work combines digital and analog elements to create immersive experiences they call ‘Neu-Gesamtkunstwerk.’ Through this integration, they explore the concept of a ‘total work of art,’ encouraging a shared sensory experience that bridges technology and the physical world. Past notable works include Signal (2022), Resonance (2023), and Codex (2024).
