    Zinka Bejtic is a Canadian educator and visual artist whose work explores contemporary phenomena through a variety of time-based and installation media such as experimental film, video art, and sound.

    Recognized for excellence in teaching over the last twenty years, and with a Ph.D. in educational psychology, Zinka is dedicated to researching and advancing studio-based pedagogy through identifying and contextualizing specific studio teaching techniques that enhance students’ learning experience. The aim of her research is to advance studio teaching and enable educators to develop skills to intrinsically motivate students while enhancing their creative and personal development.

    Zinka is currently appointed as an Associate Dean at the College of Architecture, Art and Design, American University of Sharjah where she also teaches courses in the areas of multimedia design and visual communication.
