    Victoria Szabo is Chair of the ACM SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Community. She is also a Research Professor of Visual and Media Studies at Duke University, USA.

    Victoria Szabo is a Research Professor of Visual and Media Studies in the Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke University, USA. She was the founding Director of Graduate Studies for the interdisciplinary PhD in Computational Media, Arts & Cultures (CMAC), and currently directs the MA program as well as the Information Science + Studies Lab and XR Studio. She also leads the Digital Humanities Initiative at the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute. She is the Digital Arts Community Chair for the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and International Techniques (ACM SIGGRAPH). Her scholarly work focuses on the study, creation, and critique of digital archives, exhibitions, and apps for visualizing cities, communities, and imagined places. She is also a partner in Psychasthenia Studio, a collaborative that creates artists’ games that explore the psychology of hybrid reality cultures and systems.
