  Nina Pope & Karen Guthrie (UK) met while studying at Edinburgh College of Art and have collaborated as artists and film-makers since 1995.   Nina Pope and Karen Guthrie met whilst at Edinburgh College of Art before they completed MA’s in London and began working together in 1995. Their early career was marked by technological innovation combined with a socially-engaged and inclusive sensibility – for example, their live online travelogue A Hypertext Journal (1996) which was an experimental precursor to ‘blogging’ (source: somewhere.org.uk/about/biography).

  ISEA1994

  Trained as a Fine Artist specializing in print-making in Scotland. Worked for a time in a print workshop before coming to London to do her MA at Chelsea College of Art, where her interest in computers began. Her work is concerned with perceptions of spaces real and imagined and is often based around garden imagery. Currently teaching computing for the Bartlett School of Architecture,University College London.
