Artist Statement:
The work consists of a series of performance pieces based on recordings and journal entries from my first trip to India. It is a dramatic treatment of my encounters with this culture and the surprises, difficulties and excitements it holds for many visitors from urban North American/European origin. In today’s performance of India Sound Journal, you will hear selected excerpts from this larger work-in-progress.
