    Katariina Kyrölä is a researcher and a PhD student in Media Studies and teaches Women’s Studies at the University of Turku, Finland. In 2004-2005 she will be studying at Utrecht University, in the Netherlands Research School of Women’s Studies. She is working on her PhD on the popular representations of fat bodies in the contemporary media and the politics of difference.
