    Naz Shahrokh was born in Tehran, Iran in 1969. She left when she was four and moved to Paris, France. At 11 she moved to Los Angeles, USA, and at 20 she moved to Brooklyn, New York, USA. Shahrokh moved to Egypt, where she taught at the American University in Cairo until 2006, when she accepted the post of Assistant Professor of Art & Design at the College of Arts & Sciences at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she currently lives and teaches.
