    Hugo Solís Garcíais an electronic artist focused on creative and aesthetic possibilities as a result of the intersection between sound, digital technologies, and interactivity. He has exhibited works and given concerts in Mexico, Japan, Ireland, the United States, Spain, Brazil, Italy, and Portugal. He is a full-time professor of Digital Art and Communication at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. During 2012 and 2013, he was Director of the technology, media and interaction department of the CONACULTA Digital Culture Center. He completed a PhD in Digital Art and Experimental Media at the University of Washington, a DEA in Computer Science at Pompeu Fabra University, a Master of Arts and Science at the Media Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree at the National School of Music of the UNAM. He has received support, scholarships, and recognition from FONCA, UNAM, TELMEX, MIT, University of Washington, DXARTS, IMEB-Bourges, Centro Multimedia, Transitio_MX, and Leonardo, among others. He is a member of the National System of Art Creators of Mexico.
