Have you dreamt of whale dancing? I know it’s not just me. “Cetacea Sensorium – WhaleKin dance time” is a non linear multimedia experience working with dance underwater with and for wild humpback whales.
I was taught by a whale how to meet them where they are at. She was my first underwater whale encounter it was in the Butchulla waters of K’Gari.
She taught me to sing as an invitation to a whale audience.
She taught me to wait for true consent to drop into her home.
She taught me to listen.
She taught me to stay with her eyes as she gazed straight into my being.
She taught me to hold space for her song as I lost control underwater – her sound waves underwater took over they moulded me into interspecies translational puttywithout any of my verbal thought involved.
Like interspecies But oh she moved my cells for me.
She taught me that my dream of communicating with her kind was possible as we all already spoke “dance”.
My whole life I have dreamt of flying with whales hilariously in space.
I knew that if I could really dance freely underwater whales would
