Alexandra Saemmer is a professor of Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Paris 8 and co-director of the Centre for the Study of Media, Technology and Internationalisation (CEMTI). Based on a social semiotic approach, her research focuses on the construction of meaning by the human subject. She is also a theorist and author of digital literature.
