Alis Pataquiva-Mateus

- Alis Pataquiva-Mateus is a chemical engineer from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Her interests include nanotechnology, biomaterials and education in engineering. She completed her master’s studies in Sao Paulo (Brazil) with scholarship from the State of Sao Paulo (CAPES) at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), she worked on the production of biodegradable plastic in Airlift bioreactors. Her PhD studies were carried out at the University of Porto (Portugal), carrying out an important part of her work at Harvard Medical School and MIT (MA, USA), in the area of Tissue Engineering. She obtained her doctorate with honors from the Instituto de Engenharia Biomedica. As for its production, it has scientific publications in international journals and an international patent.
