Born in Lyon, France, in 1969, Alain Damasio has been prancing on the peaks of make-belief since the 2004 publication of his second book, La Horde du contrevent, which was awarded the Grand Prix de l’Imaginaire. He explains his predilection for polyphonic tales and for physical work, the physiology of language, by a vital need to inhabit multiple bodies, and to let himself be inhabited.
