Charles Stankievech’s fieldworks have been included in contexts like the Palais de Toyko (Paris) or the Biennale of Architecture (Venice). He has curated such unorthodox exhibitions as ‘Magnetic Norths’ and ‘A Wake For St. Kippenberger’s MetroNet’. His writings have been included in various academic journals, artist’s catalogues and translated into several languages. Stankievech holds an MFA in Open Media and a BA (honours) with a thesis on Žižek and Kafka. As co-founder of the KIAC School of Visual Arts in Dawson City, Northern Canada, he splits his time between the Arctic and Montreal.
