Étienne Perény is an honorary professor in communication and interactive design, a member of the Laboratoire Paragraphe (Paragraph Laboratory) at the Paris 8 University, and an associate at the DICEN-IDF laboratory. With initiatives to study the basis of his original theory on interactive images and video games, he is co-author of Devenez Avatar (Becoming Avatar) a scientific method used to study the av-atarisation phenomenon.
