    Gloria DeFilipps Brush is on the faculty of the art depart­ment at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Born in Chicago, she earned the M.F.A degree in generative sys­tems from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1972. Brush currently works with scale model architectural camera and pinhole technology mediated through digital manipulation. She is a McKnight Foundation Photographer Fellow for 1997-98. Brush has received artist fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Minnesota Arts Board, Arts Midwest, and the Bush and McKnight Foundations, and assistance from the University of Minnesota Graduate School and Polaroid Corporation. Her work has been published in Leonardo, Wired, ViewCamera, American Photographer, Darkroom Photography, Polaroid Photo Education, Angeles, and Harper’s magazines, and in Naomi Rosenblum’s book A History of Women Photographers 1850-1975.
