James Laird

James Laird (b. 1988) is a practicing biomedical engineer with a background in electronics. He has interests in sonic and installation art, cognitive prosthetics, and consciousness. He is currently engaged in the design of a new spinal cord implant for the control of chronic pain, and is concurrently pursuing a doctorate in neuromodulation and electrophysiology.
