    Composer and performer, Joel Chadabe has pioneered the development of interactive music systems. His book Electric Sound is the first comprehensive overview of electronic music, and his articles have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. He is currently Professor Emeritus at State University of New York at Albany, Director of the Electronic Music Studio at Bennington College, and founder and President of Electronic Music Foundation.


    Joël Chadabe performs his music throughout the world, in concerts with Jan Williams and other musicians. His music can be heard on CDCM, Centaur, Lovely, CP2, Folkways, and other labels. He is a pioneer in the development of interactive computer music systems, President of Intelligent Music, and founder of Electronic Music. He is presently on the faculty at The University at Albany and Bennington College.
