    Born in 1979 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Juliana Borinski studied audio-visual media art at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) in Germany until 2007 and, between 2004 and 2005, at the National School of Fine Arts at the Villa Arson, in Nice, France. Her work blurs the borders between different practices such as video, experimental cinema, photography and performance. Her expanded media installations often integrate basic new technologies, materials and machines referring to historical media techniques and physic experiments.
