Kiyoshi Furukawa, born 1959 in Tokyo, studied composition with Y. lrino at the Music Academy in Berlin, Germany and with I I. Yun and G. Ligeti at the Music Academy in Amhurst: Guest composer at Stanford University, USA, in 1991. Artist in residence at the ZKM Center for Art and Media Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany. Since 2000 he has been assigned as an Associate Professor at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
