I graduated in cinema at the Universidade Federal Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, my hometown. I have worked for a few years in the movie business in Rio, having collaborated in feature and short films as production manager, costume designer and art director. Back than I co-directed a short film called Desgostosa (“Displeased”) in 16mm and a few videos. 4 yeasr ago I radically changed my career by graduating with honor at the Digital Arts Master at the Pompeu Fabra University, in Barcelona, Spain. In this master I had the opportunity to know and engage to the art and technology universe and the possibilities of art-oriented programming.I developed my skills as a programmer by working in Barcelona as a freelancer in several projects in art and technologies ambience, web programming as well as developing for Telefónica R&D group, a centr of technological excellence in Spain. The first version of my piece SPROCKET – developed for Bruno Vianna’s live feature film RESSACA (Hang Over) – has been presented in various festivals like ISEA, PDCON, ART FUTURA, LIVE CINEMA, ELECTROFRINGE and others. It also counted with the interest and colaboration of distinguished contributors like Hans-Christoph Steiner, IOhannes M. Zmoelnig, Martin Kaltenbrunner and Gunter Geiger.
I also love photography and music and consider myself an “in-formation” programmer and artist.
