    Rasmus Vuori is a media artist who has been working with technology since hacking computers and networks the 1980s, always with an emphasis on communication, cultural activism and artistic expression. Rasmus got his Master’s degree from the Media Lab at the University of Art and Design Helsinki, Finland. Rasmus has been participating in a wide range of creative projects across continents, usually in transdisciplinary teams designing behaviour and interaction, combining conceptual thinking with low-level practical implementation – in art installations, operas, theatre performances as well as for commercial and educational institutions. Rasmus’ approach to technology is instrumental, with an emphasis on art and culture. Generative storytelling, interaction, and experience design are his main professional interests. Currently, when not involved in any experimental art projects, Rasmus is working as the vice dean at his alma mater; Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture, educating the next generation of artists and designers.

    Rasmus Vuori is an internationally awarded systems architect and programmer for New Media productions that have included e.g. the Prix Möbius Nordica 2006 winner Obsession (dir. Pia Tikka). He’s currently the head of studies (MA in New Media at Media Lab Helsinki) and lecturer at the Department of Media, Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Finland.
