Söke Dinkla studied Art History, Literature, Anthropology; 1994 grant of the DAAD for the USA; 1996 Ph.D. on the history and aethetics of interactive media art. Curator at the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg. Since 2005 she is Artistic Director of the European Capital of Culture Office RUHR.2010 Duisburg.

Born 1962 in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Studied History of Art, Biology, Literature and Ethnology at the Universities of Bielefeld, Kiel and Hamburg. She works as an art critic and curator in the field of New Media and is writing a Ph.D. thesis on “Interactive installations and Environments in the late 20th Century” at the University of Hamburg.
