    Terry Flaxton (UK) is a Professor of Cinematography and Lens Based Arts at the University of the West of England. He was formerly at the University of Bristol researching high-resolution imaging following a 30-year career in the UK Film and Television Industry. He made his first artworks in 1976, is currently an applicant Academician at the Royal West of England Academy of the Arts, and his pieces are shown in various museums and galleries around the world. His latest research involves Higher Dynamic Range Capture and Display and he has just finished the world’s first HDR, HFR moving image work.

    British artist Terry Flaxton (b. 1953) has worked for decades with sound composition, photography and film, developing a particular interest in analogue video during the 1970s.  His work today focuses on durational forms of the digital including sound, video, print and installation. Professor of Cinematography and Lens Based Arts at University of the West of England.
