Abstract:
An investigation of the topological characteristics of moss. The unique botanical features of moss qualify as a background for the analysis of phenomena which require a topological approach. The characteristics of the growth process are:
- Territorial growth of genetically identical clusters.
- Mutual support of the plantlets of one cluster.
- Clusters have a layered structure. Illustrations by Ingela Viks.
