Artist Statement:
Beijing-based Feng Mengbo takes his inspiration from video games, the internet and China’s recent history, blending Western commercial iconography with the symbols of the Cultural Revolution. In his new CD-Rom installation, Mengbo combines aspects of the Chinese Revolution’s Beijing Opera, Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy, with the popular computer game, Doom.
