Description:

  • Developments in technology have far-reaching social and cultural consequences, such as increasing structural unemployment. It is striking that this liberation from labour is negatively valued. Our culture, and more specifically our image of society, is determined by the industrial era behind us. Technological development is in danger of becoming disconnected from the rest of culture. What is needed is: The cultural integration of technological innovation. The SCCA promotes and demonstrates critical and creative computing. The SCCA believes that current developments in information and computer technology should serve the user’s expressive possibilities.
