    Jiabao Li (Singapore/USA) is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, USA, and a Harvard graduate. She creates works addressing climate change, interspecies co-creation, humane technology, and perceptions. Jiabao is the recipient of numerous awards including Forbes China 30 Under 30, and her work has been exhibited internationally, at Venice Architecture Biennale, Ars Electronica, Today Art Museum Biennial, SIGGRAPH, Milan and Dubai Design Week, ISEA, Anchorage Museum, and Museum of Design.

    Jiabao Li creates works addressing climate change, interspecies world sharing, humane technology, and a just, sustainable future. In Jiabao’s TED Talk, she uncovered how technology mediates the way we perceive reality. At Apple, she invents and explores new technologies for future products. Jiabao holds multiple patents and awards including Falling Walls, iF, AACYF 30 Under 30, FastCo, Core77, A’ Design. Her work has been exhibited internationally, at Ars Electronica, SIGGRAPH, Milan and Dubai Design Week, McaM, ISEA, Anchorage Museum, OCAT, CHI, Donghu Shan Art Museum, MOOD Museum of Design, Alaska State Museum. Her work has been featured on Yahoo, TechCrunch, Domus, Yanko Design, Fast Company, Harvard Political Review, The National, Business Insider, Bloomberg, and Leonardo. Currently, Jiabao is an Assistant Professor at UT Austin and a member of NEW INC at the New Museum. She holds a Master of Design Technology with Distinction at Harvard GSD.

    Jiabao Li works at the intersection of emerging technology, art and design. Her work opens questions about technology’s influence on human perception, identity, and emotion. Her research-based projects range from wearables, projections, drones, installations to scientific experiments. She holds a Master of Design in Technology degree with Distinction from Harvard GSD, USA. Jiabao’s work has been featured in Domus, TechCrunch, Yahoo, CCTV, Yanko Design. Her work has been shown in Milan and Dubai Design Week, ISEA, CHI, SIGGRAPH, and PRIMER. She is the winner of the Fast Company Award, iF Design Award, Future Cities Award, and ISWC Design Award.
