Martin Kusch studied art history, philosophy and painting in Berlin, Germany, and media arts with Peter Weibel at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria, where he has also been teaching since 1997. Founder and artistic co-director of the Media performance group kondition pluriel, he is particularly interested in the transformation processes of the electronic media inside performative contexts, and on how digital technologies influence our perception of the body and space. His works have been presented at numerous
festivals and institutions, such as: Ars Electronica (Linz), ISEA, ZKM (Karlsruhe), Transmediale (Berlin), CYNETart (Dresden), EMPAC (Troy), Le Centre des arts d’Enghien les bains (Enghien), the Mois Multi (Quebec City) and the Museumsquartier Wien (Vienna).ISEA2013

Martin Kusch is a visual media artist and artistic co-director of kondition pluriel. He is teaching at the Dept. for Digital Arts at the Univ. of Applied Arts in Vienna. His artistic practice is based on the creation of media installations and interactive performance environments.

Martin Kusch has been working in media arts for the last 14 years. Since 1997, he has also been teaching in the dept. for Visual Media at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Martin Kusch’s artistic practice is based on the creation of interactive installations and environments, and on architecture and site specificity, in terms of content and spatiality.
