Dr Rob La Frenais has been a contemporary art curator for 30 years, working internationally and creatively with artists entirely on original commissions. He has recently curated exhibitions in the US, Scotland, France, Liverpool, UK and India – his current touring exhibition No Such Thing As Gravity opens in Taiwan in April. He is a regular writer for Art Monthly, UK and is a board member of ISEA International. From 1997-2014, Rob was the curator of The Arts Catalyst.

Dr. Rob La Frenais, UK, is the curator of the Arts Catalyst, an arts organisation based in London and working internationally which commissions collaborations between artists and scientists. His latest curatorial project, Republic of the Moon, explores the idea of artists creating an autonomous poetic territory on a future moon settlement.

Rob La Frenais is a curator and writer, former editor of Performance Magazine and former director of the Edge Biennale, now writing about and curating art and technology projects including ‘Earthwire’, a project with artists using high technology in a rural setting and ‘Connected 5’ at the South Bank Centre, London, England.
